Vanilla Heaven Cake

I love white cake more than any other cake, specially vanilla cake with high quality ingredients. Using butter and pure vanilla extract can totally change the taste of a simple vanilla cake. My Vanilla Heaven cake recipe might be very similar to many other recipe that you have tried, but the couple of extra ingredients makes this cake heavenly. This cake is ideal for stacking and decorating with Swiss Meringue butter cream, or covering with fondant. You can also use real %35 whipped cream to decorate this cake, make a strawberry shortcake or add fresh flowers to make a custom cake for any occasions. Method used Creaming method

Makes two 8 inch cake


  • Butter 1 cup (227gr)

  • Flour 3 cups (462gr)

  • Sugar 2 cups (490gr)

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Yogurt ½ cup

  • Eggs 5 L

  • Unsweetened applesauce 1/4 cup

  • Pure Vanilla Extract 2tsp (10 ml)

  • Baking Powder 1 Tbsp (15ml)

  • Salt ½ tsp


  1. Pre-heat oven 350 degrees F

  2. Prepare two 8 inch cake pans and set aside

  3. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt in a big bowl, mix together and set aside

  4. Using a mixer beat sugar and butter until pale in color and fluffy

  5. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well

  6. Add vanilla extract and beat

  7. Add flour mixture in three addition to batter, alternating with milk, yogurt and applesauce, beginning and ending with flour mix

  8. Pour batter into prepared cake pans and bake until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean


  • Bring eggs, milk, yogurt and applesauce to room temperature before using

  • You can use ¾ cup of butter and ⅓ oil to make your cake more fluffy
